Last Night of Hanukah in NOLA

It is the 8th night and we had a chance to attend a friend party in the Garden District of New Orleans in their very classic and classy home. Hugo Cahn of the former Krauss department store, which is now classic condos on Canal and Rampart in downtown, was the Hannukah story provider and his wife did a wonderful job.

We wrapped it all up at the Pontchartrain Hotel and Tin Roof bar on the roof. Of course the elevator was out of service to the roof so four flights later, we reached the bar for great views and wonderful cocktails. It was almost Sweater Weather so we imbibed in this unique manhattan style Bourbon cocktail to partake in the view. The weather was warm this evening so the fog rolled in pulling down the New Orlean's skyline and the lights illuminating the tops of our tallest building were reflecting across the sky.

We concluded the night with the final lighting of our Velociraptor Menorah. Thank you Anita!
